Certification DetailsBLSACLSArizona Pharmacist LicenseJob DetailsThe Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages, employees and designated areas of the hospital.Pharmacist practice shall be carried out in accordance with all state/federal and DEA laws, TJC Standards, and hospital/departmental policies and procedures.Responsibilities include collaboration with Physicians on drugs and dosing, education of nursing staff, patients and physicians regarding medications, Medication Safety initiatives, patient profiles, avoidance and reporting of adverse drug reaction, mixing of IV admixtures and nutritional supplements and narcotic accountability.Job RequirementsInpatient acute hospital experience required.Required Experience: 2 years.Board Certified and/or accredited pharmacy residency preferred but not required.Sterile compounding experience needed.Must be able to work independently and meet multiple project deadlines.Operational and people management skills resulting in patient satisfaction, quality improvement, and employee engagement.Experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to meet key goals.Schedule InformationShift: 7 Nights On / 7 Nights Off: 8:00p - 7:00a.The Pharmacist will work Wednesday through Tuesday.No On Call.No option for 48 hour Guarantee.No option for Blocked Scheduling.Houghton Pharmacy will be open on CHS Recognized holidays.Additional DetailsClean, smoke-free well light, healthcare work environment.Considerable video display exposure and use of keyboard.Occasionally subjected to irregular hours and many interruptions.Subject to varying and unpredictable situations; may perform emergency care requiring judgment/action affecting health and well-being of patients and employees.
