In this role, you will work alongside our dentists and clinical team to ensure every patient receives high-quality care in a welcoming, supportive environment. From preparing patients and instruments to take x-rays and advising ora health, you will play a hands-on role in making sure our patients feel respected, heard, and care for at every step.Key Tasks And ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & ExperienceEnsure every patient enjoys a positive experience and is treated with the respect, compassion, and care they deserveHelp patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment, tailoring your approach to each individual’s physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needsCollect and record patient health histories (dental and medical) in the EHR/EDR prior to examinationAssist the dentist chair-side by organizing and preparing instruments and providing support during proceduresTake and process x-rays accurately and safelyAdvise patients and their families on oral hygiene, dental care, and post-treatment instructionsComplete progress notes and follow through with all post-visit duties Records, Compliance & BillingMaintain accurate, timely patient records and documentation in full compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulationsEnsure patient services and billing information is collected and submitted accurately to support favorable outcomesUphold all regulatory, accreditation, and clinic policy standards across every responsibilityClinical OperationsPrepare, maintain, and sterilize dental instruments, materials, and equipment following established infection control proceduresDemonstrate working knowledge of dentistry procedures, tray setup, sterilization techniques, and materialsUtilize required technology, systems, and equipment for patient data collection and records managementProvide backup support to front desk functions and perform office duties as neededRelationships & TeamworkBuild genuine, positive relationships with patients and their familiesDevelop strong working relationships with Patient Services Representatives, dental hygienists, dentists, and all clinic staffContribute to a collaborative team environment where everyone is supported and value.Required Qualifications: A minimum of a high school diploma is required.Preferred: Successful completion of a dental assistant licensing or registration program.Certificate of Completion in an Expanded Function Dental Assisting in the state of Missouri, not necessary, but preferred.Top benefits or perks:As an employee at Arthur Center, you’ll enjoy: Collaborative work environmentCompetitive payComprehensive benefits package including:Medical (HSA option)DentalVisionLife insurance401(k) with up to 6% company match9 paid holidaysGenerous PTOApply TodayReady to make a meaningful impact in your community?
