Automotive Maintenance TechnicianAt Big O Tires, we strive to be the preferred tire and auto service retailer in every community while making Big O Tires a great place to work.As an Automotive Maintenance Technician for Big O Tires, you will perform alignments, service and installation activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner.Benefits include dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, disability, accident insurance, legal shield, paid time off, weekly pay, employee discount program, employee assistance program, uniforms provided, paid training, and pay based on experience and certifications.Essential duties and responsibilities include providing fast and friendly customer service, promoting sales through explaining benefits of service and products to customers, maintaining timely and professional communication with management, employees, vendors and customers, keeping supervisor informed of any maintenance problems and/or any issues that need attention, safely operating customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions, draining oil and changing oil filter; lubricating vehicles; installing, rotating and balancing tires and properly torquing wheels; checking and filling various fluids; checking and replacing various filters and lights, performing inspections and recommending preventative maintenance and repairs based on company guidelines, maintaining a clean environment, tools and equipment, using company guidelines, knowing and adhering to company policies and procedures, utilizing and performing all duties on the company checklists to meet consistent adherence to policies, procedures and expectations, performing alignments, troubleshooting, and repair various automotive components and systems (brakes, suspension, A/C, accessories, fluid...etc), safely operating vehicle lifts and other equipment needed to complete servicing, and maintaining equipment and a clean shop environment.Qualifications include B level automotive maintenance experience, diesel experience is a plus, must have own tools, availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed, reliable transportation to work, ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials, ability to consistently operate computers, diagnostic tools and other shop equipment, capability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles, willingness to work with hazardous materials and in outdoor weather conditions, complies with personal protection equipment (PPE) regulations, ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift, ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds, and ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, motor vehicle report (MVR), and criminal background check.Join our team today!
