We're building market-based solutions to unlock housing opportunities at scale, with a bold 10-year goal to help 1 million people gain access to housing.Role Overview:As an Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of OneApp’s financial infrastructure. You will partner closely with the CFO, Controller-level resources, and external accounting providers to manage the monthly close process, ensure proper revenue recognition, maintain GAAP compliance, and support the development of financial reporting processes that scale with the company’s growth.This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, technically strong in accounting principles, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where systems and processes continue to evolve. The Accountant will help translate complex operational activity into accurate financial reporting, while also improving internal controls, documentation, and automation workflows.Details:Details:Job Title: Accountant - Portland MetroLocation: RemoteSalary: $80,000-$95,000, with a variable annual bonus of $10,000 paid quarterlyReports to: ControllerWork Hours: Full Time, Hours Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (your local time)Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reportingMaintain and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules across all accountsManage revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP, including deferred revenue, contract liabilities, and alignment between operational data and financial reportingDrive financial analysis by identifying variances, investigating discrepancies, and providing insights to support business decision-makingImprove and scale accounting systems, processes, and internal controls, including automation, documentation, and audit-ready workflowsOversee finance operations, including invoice approvals, payment processing, vendor coordination, and banking activitiesPartner cross-functionally with Finance leadership, Operations, Product, and external stakeholders to support reporting, compliance, budgeting, and strategic initiativesQualifications & Criteria4+ years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of bothStrong understanding of GAAP principles and financial statement preparationExperience with revenue recognition concepts (ASC 606 familiarity preferred)Experience working with accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similarExperience with payment platforms such as Stripe and expense platforms such as Ramp or Bill.com preferredStrong Excel / Google Sheets skillsHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred:CPA or CPA-track preferredExperience in high-growth or startup environmentsExperience working with deferred revenue or contract-based business modelsBenefitsThis is a full-time positionSalary: $80,000-$95,000 with an annual bonus of $10,000 paid quarterlyProfit sharing planMedical, Dental and Vision Benefits401K PlanUnlimited PTOOneApp is an Equal Opportunity Employer
