SUMMARYThe C2ISR Test Engineer SME shall advise and assist by supporting the development and implementation of T&E projects for C2ISR weapons system. The SME will advise and assist by interfacing with warfighter expertise in the areas of AOC, combat operations, combat plans, defensive operations, air defense operations, and interoperability in conducting operational analyses of theater requirements, and establishing test procedures and objectives.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Test concept, design, and methodology development; test planning; test instrumentation; test execution and data collection; test data reduction and analysis; assist in the development of test reports and test briefings. Support will include assisting in the development and production of draft test plans and reports for Government approval on each system for T&E. The SME shall advise and assist by supporting C2ISR system T&E (including FDE, OUE, OA, TD&E activities, Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations (ACTDs), Concept Demonstrations, and special projects conducted and supported by the 605 TES. Provide testing and evaluation for C2ISR architectures, such as BCS-F open-systems architecture for automating Homeland Defense Air Operations; distributing, and processing ISR information, such as the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS); DoD cryptographic (or AFGSC Command Post) systems that support a multitude of operational missions across the DoD; Air Force Logistics systems that support the readiness and sustainment of Aircraft and Munitions. Assisting in the development and production of draft test plans and reports for Government approval on each C2ISR system for T&E, as required. Advise and assist by providing acquisition and process support by reviewing any 605 TES acquisition support activities and products. Assisting in the development and updates of the following: Integrated Test Team (ITT) charters, Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs); Capabilities Development Documents (CDDs); Capabilities Production Documents (CPDs); Operational Requirements Documents (ORDs); Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs); Program Management Directives (PMDs); Test and Evaluation Strategies; Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs); and operational manuals and handbooks. Assist in the development of a comprehensive introductory training course on operational test and evaluation of command and control systems. Advise and assist by participating in working groups, technical reviews, and other mission-related activities. This support shall include attending program meetings and making recommendations on technical matters and decisions required. Provide documentation support in developing AOC WS configuration management policies, plans, procedures and evaluations for C2ISR systems. Support shall include preparing and assisting in presenting technical status briefings documenting problem areas, test progress, and accomplishments affecting defined task areas. Advise and assist in the development of plans to overcome any test shortfalls that may be encountered in the course of test planning. This may include developing software to collect, reduce, and analyze data; documenting the requirement for systems needed to perform tests; and installing and integrating these systems. Qualifications And Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree Five (5) years AOC COD experience as a qualified Team or Division Chief, and/or 5 years experience in A3 on a Component-Numbered Air Force (C-NAF) or MAJCOM AFFOR staff in a leadership capacity. Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Preferred Skills LANGUAGE SKILLSMust have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Will be required to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints. REASONING ABILITYMust be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable.
