Staff Software Engineer - Next-Gen
Overview:
As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will help build the next generation of our cloud-based document management platform. You will work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver production-grade apps across the stack. You'll design scalable backend services and modern frontend experiences on AWS, REST/GraphQL APIs, and mobile-friendly interfaces. You drive architectural decisions, improve reliability, and advance engineering excellence in a collaborative, impact-driven environment. Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain production-grade full stack applications using React, Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS technologies
- Develop scalable backend services and modern frontend experiences for web and mobile
- Design and implement REST and GraphQL APIsWrite clean, tested code meeting performance, security, and quality standards
- Build and validate software across multiple environments throughout the development lifecycle
- Design and implement event-driven and service-oriented solutions
- Build solutions leveraging AWS services and SQL/NoSQL databases
- Integrate internal systems with third-party APIs and external services
- Implement logging, monitoring, and observability to improve production visibility
- Take ownership of features from design through deployment and ongoing support
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering during the SDLCParticipate in design/code reviews and problem-solving sessions
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and AI-powered services to expand capabilities
Key requirements:
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong experience with React, Node.js, and TypeScriptExperience with C# or Java considered
- Experience building modern frontend applications and scalable backend services
- Strong experience designing and implementing REST and GraphQL APIsExperience with event-driven and service-oriented architectures
- Experience developing cloud-native applications using AWS and SQL/NoSQL databases
- Understanding of distributed systems; Kafka or similar is a plus
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services
- Experience implementing logging, monitoring, and observability
- Strong understanding of OOP, data structures, and algorithmscollaboration with cross-functional teamscontinuous learning and adaptabilityproblem solving and ownership
