Job Description Welder IILocationWillmar, MNOnsite, Hybrid or Fully RemoteOnsiteStatusFull-TimeReports ToProduction ManagerFLSA StatusNon-Exempt HourlyManagement PositionNoCompensation Min$27.00Compensation Max$37.00Position OverviewReporting to the Production Manager, the Stainless Steel Welder II: Performs MIG and TIG welding, polishing, metal finishing, Material rigging and handling for crane and forklift, and assembly. Uses a broad range of power tools, hand tools and auto/semi-auto equipment. Able to read and interpret a variety of drawings and work instructions. Adjust work stations and area according to workpiecesize and shape. Performs basic recordkeeping as required. Accurately fill out timesheet. Stainless steel welders are required to comply with departmental safety requirements, contribute to quality improvements and interact/communicate within the department as a function of the position. Certification for various skills may be required for employment or career advancement.ResponsibilitiesTypical activities include:Follow and mentors safety procedures and PPEMIG and TIG welding on intermediate level projects with minimal reworkPerform basic purge weldingUnderstand and execute safe lifting and rigging with crane and forkliftsConsistently completing projects within expected timeframes.Read and interpret complex drawings, Recognizing the for occasional deviations from drawing. Decision making is required.Effectively train lesser experienced coworkersWork under limited supervisionQualifications:Education:GED or High school diplomaWelding certificate a plusExperience:2–5+ years of related Tig welding experiencePerform basic Purge welding2-5 years experience reading and interpreting complex drawings.2-5 years experience executing safe lifting and rigging with crane and forklifts.Physical Requirements:Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and in proximity to loud equipment.Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds occasionally.Must be able to see and respond to at-risk situations.Must be able to wear personal protective gear when in industrial locations.Must be able sit for longer periods of time as well as move about throughout the office and production, / laboratory environment.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
