Telemetry Nurses Needed - Make a Difference When It Matters Most!

Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)The Telemetry RN is a highly skilled and compassionate nursing professional responsible for providing specialized care to adult patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. This role demands strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition. The RN works closely with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support staff to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesApply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients on telemetryConduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical exams, health histories, and cardiac rhythm interpretationContinuously monitor telemetry and respond to cardiac rhythm changes, alarms, and arrhythmiasAdminister medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribedDocument patient responses and changes in condition accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and adjust individualized care plansEducate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, and discharge instructionsMaintain adherence to infection control, safety, and quality standardsRespond promptly to emergencies such as arrhythmias, rapid deterioration, or code situationsAdvocate for patients and uphold confidentiality and patient rightsMinimum RequirementsCurrent Registered Nurse License in the state of practiceMinimum one year of professional nursing experience; telemetry experience preferredCompletion of Amergis' Competency Program (if applicable)Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoringTB screening and health clearance (as required)Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulationsSuccessful completion of new hire orientation and telemetry trainingUnderstanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulationsStrong communication skills and proficiency in EnglishBasic computer literacyMust be at least 18 years of ageBenefitsAt Amergis, we recognize that our nurses are the heart of our mission.
