Job Summary: As Human Resources Generalist you will perform various human resources functions such as employee and labor relations, provide policy, program and procedure interpretation and guidance, education on employee benefits, leave management and compensation management. You will facilitate and communicate organizational policies and programs, ensure labor law and regulatory compliance and provide internal support and guidance to employees and managers/directors. Part of the duties assigned, but not limited to, are: Oversee the Employee Relations and Labor Relations cases for the assigned service line Lead the Leave of Absence and Workers Comp processes for team members in their service line Process Union Grievances for the assigned service line Maintain general knowledge of applicable laws and regulations of human resources functions by staying abreast of current HR principles, techniques, and practices Employ continuous process improvement principles Ensure compensation matters are compliant to the various labor contracts and unrepresented staff policies and procedures Active involvement in employee recognition activities Maintain tracking on evaluation practices; process all probationary period, annual evaluations and orientation guidelines OSHA related duties Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Thorough comprehension of Federal, State and Local Employment laws Knowledge of the UltiPro HRIS System preferred Effective communication skills – written, verbal and auditory Exceptional organizational and time management skills Ability to multi-task and manage multiple responsibilities with varying priorities Remarkable critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Experience, Education, and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree with major or emphasis in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
