Inventory Associate

Inventory Associate Location: Philadelphia, PA (On-site) Pay: $22–$24/hour Type: Full-time (Monday–Friday + occasional weekends) The Mission At NuSource, our inventory is the backbone of our operation. We aren't looking for just a "box mover"; we need an Operations Hustler who can own the physical flow of our product. You are the "anchor" of the warehouse floor—responsible for accurate inbound intake, high-density zoning, inventory movement, and professional outbound execution. You are successful if the sorting team never stops and every outbound shipment is built to professional standards. The Bilingual Bridge (English/Spanish) You don’t just move boxes; you move the needle. Because you are fluent in both English and Spanish, you are the vital link between the office and the warehouse floor. You will partner directly with the Supervisor to orchestrate the floor—arranging intake zones, streamlining "put-away," and ensuring the team has exactly what they need to stay productive. You are the person the crew turns to when they need help related to inventory, and you’re the one who ensures the Supervisor’s daily plan is translated into action. You are successful when the floor is organized, the team feels supported, and the operation never skips a beat. The Daily Hustle 1. Inbound & Sorting Supply Receiving & Verification: Unload trailers and stage raw product in the designated Pre-Sort zone. You are responsible for verifying that the physical shipment matches the expected manifest. If we were expecting 40 pallets and only 38 arrived, you flag the discrepancy immediately. Real-Time Reporting: Once verified, you are responsible for making a record of all received goods in Slack and on the master inventory logs. This ensures the team has real-time visibility into what is ready to be sorted. Flow Management: Physically move bins and bales to sorting stations based on the Sort Lead’s hourly priorities. You ensure the sorters never have to stop to find their own product. 2. WMS Execution & Space Maintenance WMS Onboarding & Transition: Actively participate in the initial ShipHero rollout by assisting with zone mapping, bin labeling, and location tagging. You will help bridge the gap between our physical layout and the digital system. System & Manual Movement: Use ShipHero handhelds to scan and record every physical stock movement. While onboarding, you will manage a hybrid workflow, maintaining manual logs or spreadsheets as needed to ensure data integrity during the transition. Inventory Baseline & Verification: Execute rigorous "Wall-to-Wall" counts to establish the accurate baseline data required for ShipHero go-live. You provide the raw "on-shelf" data so the Lead can resolve discrepancies before they are locked into the system. Put-Away & Zone Maintenance: Responsible for the physical put-away of sorted bins into high-density floor locations. You will expertly organize and condense inventory to maximize space, ensuring every bin is "tight," labels are facing out, and the physical floor stays "ShipHero-accurate" at all times. 3. Outbound Execution Pallet Ops: Professionally build and wrap pallets for freight based on the Fulfillment Lead’s daily order queue. You ensure loads are secure, weighed, and travel-safe. Carrier Loading: Physically load pallets and parcels onto trailers. Verify final pallet counts with the driver and ensure they have the proper paperwork provided by the Lead. Parcel Prep: Prepare and verify FedEx/UPS shipments, ensuring every box is taped, labeled correctly, and staged for the correct driver. 4. The "Gap" Tasks Facility Ownership: When the core work is done, you jump in: breaking down cardboard, monitoring shipping supply levels (tape/wrap), fulfilling and keeping the dock clear and safe. We are a lean team—there is no "that's not my job" here. Requirements Bilingual Command: Fluent in English and Spanish. You must be comfortable communicating complex floor layouts and safety instructions in both languages. Document Literacy: Ability to read, interpret, and execute tasks based on written documentation (digital or paper) in both English and Spanish. Proactive Problem Solver: You don't wait to be told what to do; you see a bottleneck on the floor and work with the supervisor to clear it. WMS Transition: While we use ShipHero, you should be comfortable with a "hybrid" environment—switching between digital scanning and manual logs as we scale. Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour Work Location: In person
