Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled EEG Technician to join our dedicated neurodiagnostic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electroencephalography, neurocritical care, and neurological diagnostics, with a passion for delivering precise testing and patient-centered care. As an EEG Tech, you will be responsible for performing specialized neurological assessments, operating advanced medical equipment, and supporting clinical teams in diagnostic evaluations. Duties Conduct electroencephalography (EEG) procedures, including routine and specialized testing, ensuring accurate data collection for diagnostic purposes. Monitor patients' vital signs and physiological responses throughout testing to ensure safety and optimal data quality. Operate and maintain medical equipment related to EEG and neurodiagnostic procedures, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Assist in the interpretation of diagnostic test results in collaboration with neurologists and other healthcare professionals. Support patients by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining effective communication during testing sessions. Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, patient information, and technical findings in compliance with hospital standards. Collaborate with clinical teams specializing in neurology, neurocritical care, emergency medicine, and trauma to support comprehensive diagnostic evaluations. Requirements Certification or licensure as an EEG Technician or equivalent credential required; additional certifications in neurodiagnostics are preferred. Proven experience performing EEG procedures within Level I or Level II trauma centers; experience in emergency medicine or neurocritical care settings is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of physiology, neuroanatomy, medical terminology, and neurological diagnostics. Familiarity with medical equipment operation specific to electroencephalography and patient monitoring systems. Ability to interpret diagnostic test results accurately and communicate findings effectively to healthcare teams. Experience working within high-pressure environments such as trauma centers or emergency departments is advantageous. Excellent understanding of aseptic techniques, vital signs monitoring, and patient safety protocols.
