We are actively hiring experienced Shipfitters to support submarine construction and shipyard production in the Hampton Roads area. Shipfitter Responsibilities:Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel components for submarine and ship constructionRead and interpret shipyard blueprints, weld symbols, and layout drawingsFit bulkheads, foundations, frames, brackets, and deck structuresPerform tack welding, grinding, burning, and alignment as requiredUse hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment accuratelyWork safely in confined spaces, at heights, and in industrial environmentsCollaborate with welders, pipefitters, and production teams to meet project deadlines? Shipfitter Qualifications:Prior shipyard shipfitting experience strongly preferredExperience in submarine construction or naval shipbuilding is a plusAbility to read blueprints and structural drawingsComfortable working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminumMust be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasksFamiliarity with OSHA shipyard safety standardsReliable transportation and strong attendance????
