Our ESOP structure fosters accountability, collaboration, and long-term thinking.Position OverviewWe are seeking a Principal Embedded Systems Engineer, FPGA to lead the architecture and development of advanced FPGA and embedded system solutions. This is a high-impact technical leadership role responsible for driving system design, performance, and scalability across multiple product lines.You will work cross-functionally with Electrical, Firmware, Systems, and Manufacturing teams to deliver robust, high-performance solutions used in mission-critical applicationsKey Responsibilities* Define and lead FPGA architecture across multiple programs and platforms* Design and develop complex FPGA solutions using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog* Drive hardware/software co-design, including integration with embedded processors and firmware* Own the full FPGA development lifecycle + Requirements definition + RTL design and simulation + Timing closure and optimization + Lab bring-up and validation* Collaborate with Electrical Engineering on board-level integration and system performance* Partner with Systems Engineering to translate customer requirements into scalable solutions* Support Manufacturing and Test Engineering to ensure production readiness (DFM/DFT)* Lead debugging and root cause analysis of complex system-level issues* Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of FPGA and embedded capabilities across the organization* Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and methodologies## Qualifications* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field* 12+ years of experience in FPGA and embedded systems design* Strong expertise in: + FPGA design (Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or similar) + RTL development (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog) + High-speed digital design and timing closure* Experience with embedded systems integration (processors, memory, peripherals)* Proven ability to lead complex system designs from concept through productionPreferred Experience* Semiconductor equipment, industrial automation, or aerospace systems* High-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, etc.)* EMI/EMC considerations and system-level performance optimization* Experience in regulated or highly controlled manufacturing environments* Familiarity with PLM and ERP systems J-18808-Ljbffr
