We’re Hiring: Port Engineers (Multiple Openings Nationwide)We’re currently partnering with a growing maritime organization looking to bring on Port Engineers across several key locations (on-site only, no remote option)South Florida | Hawaii | New York | San Francisco | Virginia | MarylandSalary Range: $95K – $160K (DOE)Relocation Assistance AvailableAbout the RoleAs a Port Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness, safety, and efficiency of assigned vessels. This position serves as the key liaison between vessel crews, shipyards, vendors, and internal stakeholders—keeping everything running smoothly both on the water and ashore.What You’ll Be Doing• Oversee maintenance, repair, and technical performance of assigned vessels• Coordinate shipyard periods, dry dockings, and major repair projects• Develop and manage maintenance budgets while tracking expenses• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards• Provide technical guidance and support to vessel crews• Manage vendor relationships, sourcing, and negotiations• Conduct vessel inspections and audits• Maintain detailed maintenance and repair recordsWhat We’re Looking For• Experience as a Port Engineer, Assistant Port Engineer, Chief Engineer, or similar maritime role• Strong knowledge of marine systems, maintenance, and compliance standards• Experience managing projects, budgets, and third-party vendors• Willingness to travel to vessels and shipyards as needed• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills• USCG license or maritime academy background is a plusWho This is For• Sailing engineers looking to transition ashore• Assistant Port Engineers ready to take the next step• Experienced Port Engineers seeking a new challenge or relocationThis is a great opportunity to further your shoreside career and the ability to make a real impact on fleet operations.If you—or someone in your network—might be interested, feel free to reach out or message 32 Points Manning directly.
