Field Service Engineer - MR & CT

Field Service Engineer III – MRI / CT / PET Position Summary A leading provider of medical imaging equipment repair and maintenance is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer III to support MRI and CT systems. PET experience is highly desirable. This role requires a technically skilled, self-directed professional who excels in field-based environments and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service and reliable system performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance expertise with advanced medical imaging equipment and thrive in fast-paced, customer-facing situations. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, maintain, and repair MRI and CT imaging systems; PET experience is a plus Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including calibrations and system performance verification Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical and imaging system issues independently Provide professional, timely technical support in high-pressure, time-sensitive clinical environments Accurately document service activities in accordance with company quality and compliance standards Submit complete field service reports in a timely manner Maintain, calibrate, and manage test equipment and company-provided tools Communicate effectively with account managers regarding service activity and customer needs Manage and safeguard company assets required to perform job duties Continuously build technical knowledge to support additional imaging modalities as required Work Environment This position operates primarily in the field, servicing multiple customer sites and working around a wide range of medical imaging equipment in clinical settings. Work Schedule Primarily Monday through Friday during normal business hours Occasional evenings and weekends as business needs require Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds Frequent use of hands for handling tools, equipment, and components Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person and by phone Travel Requirements Frequent regional travel within a four-hour driving radius Occasional overnight travel and air travel as required to support customer needs Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Technical degree or some college coursework preferred Formal training and hands-on field experience in one or more of the following modalities: MRI CT PET X-ray Mammography Ultrasound Injectors Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Benefits 401(k) with company matching Medical, dental, and vision insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) Life insurance Paid time off Ideal Candidate MR & CT Is mandatory MRI Repair & Maintenance CT Repair & Maintenance GE /siemens - both oems would be ideal
