Introduction Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring for a Lead Veterinarian. This is a new hospital location focused on primary and urgent care, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to shape the culture, lead clinical operations, and build a high-performing team. Working Hours / Rota The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a full-time position. Role Description and Responsibilities The Lead Veterinarian will be responsible for leading medical operations, mentoring associate veterinarians and support staff, and establishing a positive, collaborative culture within the hospital. Clinical responsibilities include performing exams, surgeries, and managing a variety of small animal cases, alongside guiding medical protocols and contributing to the development and review of hospital policies. The role also involves building strong relationships with clients and the local community while partnering with leadership to drive team performance and hospital success. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian. Practice Details This is a primary and urgent care practice offering a wide range of services including behavioral assessments, diagnostics, spay and neuter, surgery, nutritional counseling, allergy management, laser therapy, illness exams, kitten and puppy care, vaccinations, X-rays, wellness exams, travel documentation, end-of-life care, in-house pharmacy services, senior pet care, dental care, pain management, microchipping, and specialty surgery and ultrasound. The hospital provides urgent care services for various acute conditions during opening hours. The clinic emphasizes high-quality, compassionate care through comprehensive exams and tailored treatment plans, supported by modern facilities and a collaborative clinical approach. Team The team currently consists of 1 DVM supported by a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and supportive environment.
