Role Description This is a part-time, 1099, remote role for a Fire Investigator. The Fire Investigator will conduct fire origin and cause investigations, collect and analyze evidence, prepare detailed reports, and collaborate with clients such as law enforcement, insurance professionals, and legal teams. The role requires travel to investigation sites, performing thorough scene examinations, and providing expert analysis for potential litigation or resolution. Qualifications Expertise in Forensic Analysis, Fire Investigation, and Arson InvestigationExperience in Fire Service and Evidence collectionStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsFamiliarity with forensic tools and technology, such as 3D scene scanning or similar toolsExcellent report writing and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in remote settingsRelevant certifications such as Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) or Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) are preferredValid driver's license and the ability to travel within the specified service areasExperience in courtroom testimony as an expert witness is a plus
