This role is ideal for a hands-on backend developer with strong experience building scalable Java microservices and supporting production applications.The client prefers candidates who can work onsite in Charlotte as much as possible.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring BootBuild and enhance RESTful APIs and microservicesDevelop and optimize solutions using MongoDB and SQL databasesDeploy, support, and troubleshoot applications running on OpenShift and containerized environmentsInvestigate and resolve production issues while improving application performancePartner with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams in an Agile environmentParticipate in code reviews, testing, and production deploymentsRequired Qualifications8+ years of Java development experienceStrong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservicesExperience with MongoDB and SQLExperience designing and consuming REST APIsHands-on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, or DockerStrong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skillsExperience with Git, Maven or Gradle, and CI/CD pipelinesExperience working in Agile development environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Kafka, MQ, or other messaging technologiesExperience with Spring Security and distributed systemsExperience with JUnit and MockitoExposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or Dynatrace
