This role focuses on developing high-performance data platforms, APIs, and user-facing applications capable of processing and analyzing trillions of records across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets.The ideal candidate brings strong Java development expertise, deep experience with big data architectures, graph databases, and NoSQL technologies, and hands-on knowledge of AWS and containerized environments.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable applications using JavaArchitect and operate large-scale big data systems, including persistence, partitioning, indexing, and sharding strategiesBuild and maintain RESTful APIs, including troubleshooting and performance optimizationDesign cloud-native architectures leveraging AWS and other enterprise cloud platformsDevelop and optimize large-scale graph databases handling tens of billions of relationshipsImplement graph traversal solutions using technologies such as Apache TinkerPop, Gremlin, or JanusGraphBuild and operate NoSQL-based solutions for complex data processing environmentsDesign data models optimized for performance, including partitioning, sorting, aggregation workflows, and stream processingDevelop high-performance serverless and event-driven data processing pipelines using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and PySparkSupport geospatial indexing and large-scale data indexing solutionsDevelop modern user interfaces using React and WebGLDesign and operate graph database platforms such as Apache CassandraConduct technical analysis of graph systems to improve search and query performanceDevelop and maintain machine learning operations (MLOps) pipelinesDeploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and related orchestration toolsImplement DevSecOps practices in production environments using Git-based configuration managementSupport Agile software development and testing practicesEnsure compliance with federal security, governance, and accreditation requirementsImplement data security controls, including encryption, LDAP-based authentication, and audit loggingCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical approaches and deliver mission-driven solutionsQualificationsStrong experience developing enterprise applications using JavaExperience designing and operating large-scale big data systemsExperience developing APIs and microservices-based architecturesHands-on experience with graph databases and traversal technologiesExperience working with relational and NoSQL databases such as Postgres, MariaDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4j, and DynamoDBExperience designing data models for high-performance distributed systemsExperience building data processing pipelines using AWS services such as Lambda and Step FunctionsExperience with Python and related librariesExperience working with data formats including CSV, JSON, AVRO, Parquet, and Protocol BuffersExperience with Linux environments such as CentOS or Rocky LinuxExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration technologiesExperience using Git-based tools and collaborative development environmentsExperience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasetsStrong understanding of DevSecOps and Agile development methodologiesExperience implementing data security and governance controls#CJRequirementsMust be fully cleared with a recent polygraphMust be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this postingFantom Corp is a Software Development, Agile Cloud, Cyber Security (Risk Management, Assessments & Authorization (A&A)), Data, AI Platform (Computer Vision Models), Podcasting Media Services, and IT Services provider.
