Data Collection Operator

Role OverviewWe're hiring data collection operators to support physical AI programs. In this role, you'll operate physical AI data collection systems (via teleoperation tools or guided interfaces) to generate high-quality real-world data used to train and evaluate AI models.This is hands-on, execution-focused work. You'll be working with real hardware in structured environments, following defined scenarios, and helping produce the data that directly shapes how physical AI devices learn and perform.Project DetailsLocation: 100% Onsite (Santa Clara, CA)Employment: Full time W-2, 5 days/weekMorning Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM | $35/hourNight Shift: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM | $38.50/hourPhysical Commitment: Must be able to stand for several hours and carry up to 75 lbs.Start Date: ASAPWhy This Role MattersThe data generated in this role directly impacts how physical AI systems learn to operate in the real world. Strong execution here leads to better, safer, and more reliable autonomous systems.What You'll DoOperate physical AI data devicesExecute structured tasks (e.g., navigation, pick/place, object interaction) across different environmentsFollow detailed instructions and adapt to evolving guidelinesCapture and validate data (video, sensor inputs, task logs) during operationIdentify and flag edge cases, failures, or unexpected system behaviorMaintain consistency and accuracy across repeated task runsPartner with onsite teams (engineering, QA, program leads) to improve workflowsSupport fast iteration cycles as tasks, tools, and priorities evolveBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Experience with gaming, simulation tools, or technical systems is a plusStrong hand-eye coordination and spatial awarenessComfortable using controllers, keyboards, or specialized interfaces for extended periodsBasic computer skills, including PC and Linux troubleshooting.Working knowledge of MS Office and Google DriveAbility to follow detailed procedures with high accuracyClear written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExposure to robotics, autonomous systems, drones, or simulation environmentsExperience with teleoperation, remote control systems, or QA/testing workflowsFamiliarity with data collection, logging, or annotation processesAbility to quickly learn new software applicationsInterest in AI, robotics, or emerging technologiesExperience working in structured, metrics-driven environmentsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsOnsite lab environment (robotics lab, warehouse, or simulated real-world setup)Must be able to stand for extended periods during shiftsMust be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75lbsRepetitive task execution with a focus on consistency and qualityFast-paced environment with frequent updates to tasks and workflows
