Medical Receptionist

Job Description JOB OVERVIEWWe are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join ouroncology/hematology healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible forproviding exceptional patient service. The role requires proficiency in various medicaladministrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, andmaintaining accurate medical records. A strong understanding of medical terminology isessential to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.RESPONSIBILITIESSchedule and confirm patient appointments using Nextgen Enterprise (EHR).Handle incoming calls on multi-line phone system, addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.Assist with the intake process by collecting necessary information from patients.Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing health information.Utilize computer skills effectively to manage electronic health records (EHR) and other office software applications, such as Microsoft Office.REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma2-3 years of proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office or clinic setting.Familiarity with medical terminology.Bilingual (Spanish) candidates are highly desirable to enhance patient communication.Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping.Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.Knowledge of health insurance policies.Drug testingWORK SCHEDULEMonday through Thursday, up to 10 hours per dayNo weekend shifts; extended weekday hours for work/life balance Company DescriptionEstablished, three physicians medical office specializing in oncology care, servicing the greater San Gabriel Valley.Company DescriptionEstablished, three physicians medical office specializing in oncology care, servicing the greater San Gabriel Valley.
