Line Cook

Boychik Kitchen–a Mediterranean inspired restaurant that offers traditional cuisine with a modern interpretation in the Stanley Marketplace in Aurora is looking for that right person to join our team! Looking for an experienced individual that can keep up in a fast paced kitchen. Must be able to jump in and help the team as needed. Previous higher end restaurant experience required. Responsibilities: - Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices - Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff - Follow recipes and presentation specifications - Ensure food is stored and handled properly - Maintain a clean and organized work area - Monitor food stock and notify the supervisor of any shortages Experience: - Previous experience working in a kitchen or food industry required - Familiarity with health department guidelines and regulations is a plus - Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Culinary training or certification is a bonus - Proficient knife skills Skills: - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed - Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays - Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods of time - Excellent time management skills As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality meals. Your attention to detail, culinary skills, and commitment to food safety will contribute to the success of our restaurant. Ideal candidates are hard-working, team-oriented people with great self-management skills. As a Line Lead, you will ensure the smooth, successful operations of the line on a daily basis. Responsibilities include inventory/product management, upholding service standards, facilitating communication and teamwork between team members, service prep, management of the shawarma meats, expo duties, and more. Ideal candidates are organized, professional, and team-oriented people who are comfortable leading a team of line cooks and providing constructive coaching.  P/T or F/T Line Cook Flexible Schedule Evenings 3 PM - close (typically out between 9:30 PM - 10 PM). 2 - 5 shifts per week with possibility to go full time down the line. Weekend availability preferred.  F/T Line Lead Schedule An open schedule is ideal but would be we are willing to be flexible for the right candidate. Primarily evenings, weekend availability is a must.  P/T or F/T Line Cook Pay ($22 - $26 / hour) This includes hourly rate plus tip share. Opportunities for increases in hourly rate and tip share based upon job performance and growth. F/T Line Lead Pay ($26 - $28 / hour) This includes hourly rate plus tip share.
