Regional Sales Manager
PAC Machinery (www.pacmachinery.com) is a dynamic, privately held packaging machinery manufacturer in business since 1963. We have manufacturing facilities in Berea, OH and Milwaukee, WI, and an office in San Rafael, CA. We manufacture automatic baggers, shrink wrap machines, flow wrappers, bag sealers, and poly bags. Our equipment is used in numerous industries, including medical, pharmaceutical, food, electronics, automotive, and logistics.

We are currently seeking an ambitious, customer-focused Western Regional Sales Manager with experience in the packaging industry.
A successful candidate will
Develop comprehensive sales initiatives within the Western Region (includes California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Arizona, and Colorado)
Position role and responsibilities
Achieve sales objectives for the region: unit and dollar volumes, product mix, etc.
Train representatives and their employees in product information and product presentations
Direct field sales activities of the region with respect to equipment demonstrations, sales forecasts, training, customer visits, trade shows, and sales activities.
Identify and resolve issues and obstacles between the company, assigned representatives, distributors and end-users to achieve sales objectives in the region within budget
Develop distributor relationships to maximize performance and mindshare of the organization
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Associate's degree and/or demonstrated and related equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of field sales experience
General aptitude towards electrical and mechanical products
Excellent oral and written communication skills, at all levels of personnel within an organization
Critical thinking with the ability to accurately analyze customer application needs and make sound suggestions
An aggressive sales-minded personality and can-do attitude is a must
Experience working with ROI, cost modeling and other quantitative techniques to educate and persuade potential customers
Ability to accommodate frequent travel (approximately 70%)
Preferred Skills and Education
Advanced training in recent sales techniques
Background and knowledge in the packaging industry
Experience working with industrial packaging distributors
Ability to understand operation of electro-mechanical machinery
Ability to grasp electrical and mechanical applications
