Job Overview: INPRO Technologies, Inc. is located in Frederick, MD. We are suppliers of UV curing solutions, plasma and corona treaters, static neutralizers, charging systems, web cleaners, conveyors, robotics, and custom integrations with 30+ years of experience in providing process solutions to a broad customer base. Today’s manufacturing environments demand product quality, process control and repeatability; we offer a wide variety of industrial equipment and process control instrumentation to help our customers achieve those high standards. Typical markets that we serve include: printing and converting, medical device assembly, electronics assembly, plastics coating and decorating, automotive plastics, film extrusion, coating of wood and laminate flooring, glass decorating, composite construction, and many more. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be a core member of our growing Engineering team, which provides custom engineering and integration services to customers seeking to improve their manufacturing processes or create new ones. INPRO is actively expanding its custom engineering and integration services to better support our customers as a means of achieving the growth and profitability goals for INPRO Technologies, Inc. This position will work in our office in Frederick, MD with the potential for up to 10% travel to customer sites for survey and on-site installation. Responsibilities and Duties: · Design electrical controls and power systems using computer aided design (CAD) · Conduct lab testing to validate applications and approaches · Research new products new technologies and work with vendors to select system components in solutions architecture development · Support complete project lifecycle for the design and delivery of robust electromechanical systems for the industrial manufacturing sector – requires involvement from the early system architecture development stages all the way through electrical component selection, detailed design, wire sizing, and even final fabrication · Create necessary supporting documentation, including system block diagrams, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, cable assembly drawings, instructions, and manuals · Fabricate and assemble systems using in-house light-duty fabrication and assembly tooling, including wiring and termination of controls enclosures, power distribution systems, and cable assembly · Perform complete system integration, including robotic integration and programming, conveyor system design and assembly, chamber system design and assembly, and more · Evaluate, diagnose, and repair system components · Perform inspection of received material and fabricated parts, document inspection results in non-conformance reports, and provide recommended engineering dispositions as appropriate · Think creatively and collaborate effectively with team members to develop elegant solutions to difficult problems · Present solutions concisely and thoughtfully to team members and customers · Interface directly with customers to understand, develop, and document requirements · Design integrated UV curing, surface treating, static control, and process monitoring systems with a focus on manufacturability, reliability, maintainability, flexibility, cost/schedule awareness, automation, and process control · Develop new product concepts, including prototyping as appropriate, and detailed designs based on insights from Sales team · Generate and document new and improvements to existing Engineering and Operations processes · Keep management apprised of project status through the use of concise communication and continuous documentation in task management tools, such as JIRA · Other duties as assigned Qualifications: · BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field · Professional experience in the field of electrical engineering or electro-mechanical design · Exposure to power systems as well as analog/digital circuit design · Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members · Exposure to computer aided design/drafting (CAD) of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams · A strong, independent work ethic with the natural tendency to encourage and elevate team members in the process · License to lawfully operate a motor vehicle in the US and good driving record · Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time · Physical ability to lift heavy objects (
