Your role at a glance As a Senior Bid Manager in the data center industry, your primary objective is to successfully lead and manage the end-to-end bid process to secure new business opportunities and specific contract renewals for our organization, from indicative offer through binding proposal to contract execution. This role involves a combination of project management, development of commercial and technical solutions, a strategic sales mindset, agile approach, stakeholder management and effective communication in a global project environment. You will work in partnership with sales colleagues and cross-functional department leads to support the delivery of Data Center solutions. What we are looking for KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the full bid lifecycle—from qualification through submission and handover to Delivery—to ensure timely and compliant execution. Lead the development of high-quality sales deliverables, including proposals, customer presentations, contract packages, approval materials, and other deal documentation. Support the definition of sales strategy and tactics to improve win rates. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (sales, finance, legal, product, and delivery) to define requirements and structure complex deals while ensuring compliance and timely execution. Identify and assess commercial, legal, and operational risks associated with bids, and develop mitigation strategies aligned with compliance and governance requirements. Understand data center services, technical requirements, and key commercial terms that influence contractual obligations and customer expectations. Ensure that commercial and technical solutions align with organizational financial targets and strategic objectives. Coordinate the review and finalization of contracts and proposals to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to standards. Lead or participate in contract negotiations with customers, partnering closely with internal subject matter experts to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Communicate complex technical and commercial concepts effectively to customers and internal stakeholders through clear written and verbal communication. Maintain comprehensive internal documentation and status reporting throughout the bid process. Support change management initiatives by contributing to documentation, presentations, system implementations, and executive communications. Perform additional special projects or tasks as assigned by management. KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES Strong affinity for sales, proposal development, and the drafting and interpretation of legal documents, commercial terms, and contract solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels and engage proactively with clients and internal stakeholders. Demonstrated ownership and accountability for issues, ensuring timely resolution, clear communication, and appropriate escalation when required. Ability to interpret complex and technically detailed opportunities, including commercial terms, technical specifications, and implementation requirements. Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to adapt methodologies to fast-moving, dynamic environments and deliver pragmatic solutions within tight timeframes. Solid understanding of data center industry solutions, services, and technical concepts, with the ability to adapt to rapid industry change. Strong executive-level presentation skills and professional communication style. High proficiency in written and spoken English. Professional, diplomatic, and solutions-oriented approach when working with colleagues, clients, and leadership teams. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workloads, manage multiple bids concurrently, and maintain accuracy under pressure. Strong analytical and inquisitive mindset with the ability to solve complex problems. Ability to process large volumes of information and maintain clear communication in fast-paced environments with changing priorities. High proficiency with Salesforce, SAP, and similar CRM tools, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and strong capability in using AI-based productivity tools. Proactive mindset with strong time-management skills and the ability to drive tasks independently. Strong intercultural competence and experience working effectively in global, diverse teams. Strong interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills #LI-GlobalDataCentres #LI-PD1 ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS Business, technical, or other advanced degree. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 5+ years of bid-management professional experience, ideally in the data center colocation industry or with a provider of complex technical systems and/or solutions or in a comparable industry with complex pursuits (e.g. telecommunication, manufacturing, facility services). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Moves equipment and other hardware up to 10lbs on occasion. Remain stationary in a sit/stand motion at a computer for long periods with adequate breaks. Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment. Perform work during US business hours and time zones. WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS Availability during US business hours and time zones with limited external disruptions. Occasional global meeting requirements early/late outside of local business hours (within reason). Travel required up to 10% of time for specialized work events. Frequently attendance in a virtual work setting using video and audio functions. Perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection. This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable. NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. A ratio of base salary and incentive (commission) make up a total. Base salary for this position is $140,100 - $171,300 All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
