STAGE ZERO HEALTH, PBCCommercial Strategy & Business Development AssociateFirst Commercial Hire · Cambridge, MAYou could be the reason someone’s cancer is caught in time. Most early-career roles don’t let you say that. This one does.Stage Zero Health is building the operating system for cancer prevention: validated risk models, personalized screening navigation, and clinical workflow infrastructure in one platform, so the right person gets the right screening before cancer becomes late-stage. We reach people through employers, benefits consultants, and healthcare partners, and we’re backed by institutional investors through the Wildwood Growth Studio. We’re past the concept stage. Real conversations are happening with real buyers, and we’re hiring the person who helps turn them into a commercial engine. The RoleThis is a full-stack commercial role at a pre-revenue healthcare company, which means everything you build is the first version of it. You work directly with the founder, not through a manager, and you sit in the rooms where health systems, self-insured employers, and benefits consultants decide whether to partner with us.Some days you’re building pipeline. Others you’re mapping the broker landscape, writing a one-pager, sharpening positioning from buyer objections, or turning a messy founder conversation into a clear plan. It’s the middle of an early-stage company, where strategy, sales, and operations blur together, and it’s where careers are made. What You’ll Do• Build and prioritize target account lists across self-insured employers, benefits consultants, brokers, health systems, and partners• Research and qualify accounts on buyer fit, urgency, and relationship paths• Create qualified conversations through email, LinkedIn, events, and warm introductions, relationship-first, not spray-and-pray• Prepare briefs before founder-led meetings, and sharp follow-ups after• Keep the CRM accurate and useful, with real context, objections, and next steps• Turn buyer objections and market signals into sharper messaging and materials• Represent Stage Zero at industry events such as NABIP, SIIA, and HLTH, with travel around 30%• Support investor updates, diligence materials, and early pilot planningWhat Success Looks Like in 90 DaysWe won’t expect closed revenue this early.
