Linde Engineering North America LLCAssociate Director of Conceptual Engineering – AmericasThe Woodlands, TX or Tonawanda, NY, United States | req28017What you will enjoy doing*You will provide strategic leadership for conceptual engineering activities supporting major gas supply opportunities across the AmericasEstablish and maintain best practices, methodologies, and tools for conceptual design, technology evaluation, and early-stage economic analysisEnsure alignment of regional project opportunities with global technology and product strategiesYou will identify emerging technologies and solution approaches that strengthen competitiveness in Air Separation, Hydrogen, and CO₂ marketsEnsure alignment between the Americas and Global Technology standard scope split and workflowsLead the development of integrated plant concepts and gas supply solutions during early project phasesOversee the evaluation of production technologies and gas supply options to identify optimal technical and commercial solutionsAdditionally, you will ensure conceptual designs incorporate customer process integration, operational considerations, and lifecycle economicsGuide the preparation of indicative capital estimates, performance assumptions, and economic evaluations supporting project screening and proposalsPartner with Business Development, Proposal Gases teams to shape competitive solutions for complex customer opportunitiesCollaborate with Global Technology and Product Management teams to align product offerings with regional project needsAlso you will coordinate with engineering disciplines to validate process simulations, technical assumptions, and performance modelsProvide technical leadership in strategic customer engagements and project development discussionsSupport technical presentations and participate in client knowledge-acquisition sessions to understand customer operations and requirementsTranslate customer needs into differentiated and technically sound plant conceptsLastly you will provide oversight for technical risk evaluation and solution validation across multiple production technologiesWhat Makes You GreatYou will have a BS or higher degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline10+ years experience in industrial gas technologies, including Air Separation, Hydrogen, CO₂ processing, or related energy transition technologiesYou will also demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teamsStrong background in conceptual design and techno-economic evaluationProven ability to collaborate across commercial, engineering, and technology organizationsWhy you will love working with usIn this role you must learn and abide the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct by demonstrating honesty, integrity, professionalism in all communications, actions, and decisions.What we offer you!At Linde, the sky is not the limit.
