Cable Technician

CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking a Data Center Cabling Technician with expertise in Layer 1 operations for our Houston location. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in fiber optics and data center cabling, along with industry certifications such as Corning, FOA, or BICSI.Responsibilities:• Install racks, patch panels, fiber optics, and hardware, ensuring proper grounding and mounting.• Terminate and test various types of fiber, including multi-mode and single-mode fibers, and calculate end-to-end loss budgets.• Perform mechanical and fusion splicing, including building entrance splices and maintenance splices.• Troubleshoot issues using an OTDR and ensure accurate documentation of work orders, timesheets, and other required paperwork.• Provide on-call support and be available for emergency response to network-wide problems.• Travel to various sites as needed and provide support in different physical and environmental conditions.
