This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that’s constantly evolving.Position Deli Manager AssistantMain Responsibilities:Maintain enthusiastic customer service and awareness.Assist customers with product suggestions, special orders, and food preparation.Handle customer complaints and escalate to Store Director as needed.Support department operations including food preparation, cooking, and serving.Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of deli area and equipment.Monitor and maintain proper temperatures during food preparation, display, and storage.Assist with scheduling, supervising, training, and assigning duties to department employees.Prepare and maintain sales and inventory reports; participate in physical inventory every 4 weeks.Control inventory levels to ensure product quality, freshness, and compliance with company directives.Implement promotional and seasonal displays and ensure compliance with labeling laws and company policies.Soft Skills:We are looking for candidates who possess the following:Strong communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional demeanor with customers and coworkersAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCustomer-focused attitudeAdaptability and initiativeCompetencies:Leadership and team coordinationProblem-solving and decision-makingTime management and organizational skillsAttention to detail and accuracy in record keepingKnowledge:Understanding of food safety and sanitation standardsFamiliarity with product variety, perishability, and handling proceduresKnowledge of basic mathematics and weights/measuresCompany policies and proceduresAbilities:Ability to lift and maneuver items up to 60 lbsManual dexterity and good eye-hand coordinationAbility to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasksOperate kitchen and deli equipment (e.g., slicers, ovens, fryers, scales)Educational Requirements:Food safety certificationTravel Requirements:Occasional travel, including overnight travel, may be requiredOther Requirements:Must comply with grooming and dress code standardsMay be required to work nights, weekends, and holidaysGood attendance is requiredWe Also Provide a Variety Of Benefits Including:Competitive wages paid weeklyAssociate discountsHealth and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)Time off (vacation, holidays, sick pay).
