Job Description Machine Operator – Draw Bench / Wire Pulling Equipment (2nd Shift)Electron Beam Technologies, Inc. – Kankakee, ILSchedule: Monday – ThursdayHours: 3:15 PM – 1:45 AMOvertime available as neededElectron Beam Technologies is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to operate our draw bench and wire pulling equipment used in the production of high-quality welding cable and industrial products.This position is ideal for candidates with experience operating equipment that pulls, draws, straightens, or forms metal wire, rod, tubing, or cable through dies or tooling.What You'll DoSet up and operate draw bench equipment according to work instructions.Pull wire, cable, rod, or similar materials through drawing dies while maintaining proper tension and alignment.Monitor machine performance, pull force, speeds, and product quality throughout production.Perform tooling and die changes.Thread material through equipment safely and efficiently.Measure finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment.Inspect for dimensional accuracy and surface defects.Record production data and maintain quality documentation.Perform routine machine adjustments and minor troubleshooting.Assist with changeovers and preventative maintenance.Operate overhead hoists, forklifts, or material handling equipment as needed.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Experience We're Looking ForExperience operating equipment such as:Draw Bench machinesWire Drawing machinesTube Drawing equipmentBar Drawing machinesWire StraightenersExtrusion PullersCapstan PullersCold Drawing equipmentCable manufacturing equipmentMetal forming machineryRoll forming or similar production equipmentManufacturing experience with wire, cable, steel, copper, aluminum, tubing, or similar products is highly preferred.QualificationsManufacturing machine operation experience required.Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Ability to read work orders and production documentation.Experience using precision measuring instruments.Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.Comfortable working around moving machinery and rotating equipment.Forklift experience is a plus.What Makes You SuccessfulStrong attention to detailSafety-focused mindsetReliable attendanceAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPride in producing high-quality productsWillingness to learn additional equipmentPhysical RequirementsStand and walk for extended periods.Frequently lift, push, pull, and move materials.Bend, twist, reach, and climb as needed.Work around moving machinery, wire, reels, and mechanical equipment.Wear required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe footwear.Why Electron Beam Technologies?Four-day work week (Monday–Thursday)Weekly payComprehensive benefits package401(k) with company matchPaid time offStable, growing manufacturerOpportunities for advancement and cross-trainingIf you've operated wire drawing equipment, draw benches, extrusion pullers, capstans, tube drawing machines, or similar manufacturing equipment, we'd like to talk with you!
