Saratech is seeking a Director of Legal Affairs for a full-time position. This is a remote position with potential travel to our corporate headquarters located in Mission Viejo, CA.
Salary Range
$80,000 to $110,000
Duties and Responsibilities
Review, draft, and negotiate transactions and agreements with customers, partners, and vendors, including but not limited to MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and reseller agreements.
Manage and assist outside counsel with various legal projects as needed, including corporate, employment, litigation and intellectual property issues.
Providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice to Saratech management and other employees on a variety of legal topics related to the business.
Manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business.
Promote legal, compliance, and risk management best practices throughout the company.
Secure, manage, and enforce Saratech's intellectual property rights.
Design and deliver legal training to Saratech employees on various topics relevant to the business.
Stay up-to-date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules, and regulations that directly affect the business.
Balance legal risk with business necessity.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Business Law
3+ years of experience with an in-house legal department.
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Experience in aerospace industry and with federal defense contractors.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to quickly understand and learn new technologies

Physical demands:

Paid Holidays: All full-time employees will receive eight paid holidays per year. Full-time non-exempt employees receive an extra floating holiday per year.
Paid Sick time: All employees receive 40 sick hours per year.
