Process OperatorPemex Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX. It is part of the Pemex group, a fully integrated oil company in the Americas, working across the entire value chain: exploration, production, industrial processing/refining, logistics, and marketing. The refinery’s rated capacity is 340,000 barrels per day and has the feed flexibility to process multiple grades of crudes to produce the high-quality transportation fuels the world needs. The Pemex site is co-located with other 3rd party chemical facilities, allowing for further integration and optimization of the refinery and its products. We strive to provide a collaborative, creative environment where everyone feels encouraged to contribute to our processes, decisions, planning, and culture.As the Deer Park Refinery Process Operator, you will monitor, control, and conduct activities related to the unit operation and take corrective action when necessary to ensure that all unit conditions and operations follow Deer Park Refinery safety, environmental, and operating policies, procedures, and policies.To be successful, you should have:Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a Process/Production Operator in a catalyst, petrochemical, or refining environment, or an Associate of Applied Science degree in Process Technology or equivalent military experience.Hold or be able to qualify for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.Valid driver's license and be willing to relocate within 60 minutes of the site if not already residing nearby.Ability to pass all pre-employment background, drug, medical, and reference checks, including hair and oral fluids drug testing.Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, holidays, nights, weekends, and during emergencies, including regional events, while meeting all physical and on-call requirements.Your responsibilities as the Process Operator will include: Ensure strict compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, taking immediate corrective actions when necessary.Perform physical and remote operations, including maintenance, monitoring, sampling, and testing, to ensure optimal unit performance within design limits.Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and supervisors to ensure seamless shift operations and address any operational deviations or issues.Lead troubleshooting efforts for equipment and processes, assisting fellow operators as needed.Qualify for and maintain proficiency in at least three operating jobs, including console operations and work permit issuance, while actively participating in emergency response training.An exhilarating opportunity awaits you!
