Operating 24/7/365, LanguagePath Solutions is committed to reliability, ethical standards, and technological excellence in every interaction.Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a BEI Certified ASL Interpreter. The interpreter will provide real-time, accurate, and culturally appropriate American Sign Language interpretation via OPI and VRI platforms for settings such as healthcare. Daily responsibilities include facilitating communication between Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing participants; managing calls through the secure call platform; and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and industry standards. QualificationsCurrent BEI certification in good standing, with proven experience providing professional ASL interpretation in remote or on-site settings.Strong language skills in ASL and English, including the ability to interpret across varied registers, subject matters, and communication styles.Demonstrated ability to follow ethical guidelines, maintain strict confidentiality (including HIPAA requirements), and uphold impartiality and professionalism.Technical proficiency with video conferencing tools, remote interpreting platforms, stable high-speed internet, and appropriate headsets/camera equipment.Preferred: Formal training in interpreting (e.g., degree or certificate in Interpretation, Deaf Studies, or related field), and participation in ongoing professional development.
