We're looking for Designers who will look for and take advantage of the various opportunities we offer to develop into well-rounded architects.The JobPosition Summary: The Design Associate is responsible for general project development and maintenance via model building, building design, document development, and Construction Administration. This position develops plans, elevations, sections, 3D renderings, and architectural details. Works under general guidance and direction of the Associate Principal or Senior Design Associate.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Collaborate with Principal Architects and other team members to develop concepts and design options.Develop materials for and participate in client meetingsDevelop visual aids through sketching, physical models, 3D modeling, diagrams and massing studies.Utilize Revit in the development of 3D models of buildings and their components.Evaluate and select building systems and materials and prepare details incorporating selections.Coordinate building systems to ensure compatibility with the design intent.Implement sustainable design principles into the design and environment.Assist in the preparation of contract documents.Participate in the resolution of design issues and questions through communication with vendors, consultants, and other members of design team.Participate in effective consultant coordination; includes meetings, set up of schedules, and review/ mark-up of consultant work.Your QualificationsBachelor's of Architecture or Master's of Architecture Degree with an NAAB-accredited institution.Legal authorization to work in the United States.
