Injection Molding Tooling Technician (2nd Shift)

What You Will DoYou will do injection mold tooling repairs and preventative maintenanceYou will work independently as the internal tooling department for moldingYou will repair and/or make any parts to conform to the latest mold prints/2D dataYou will perform other work such as basic heat treating, MIG/TIG welding, precision hand fitting, miscellaneous bench work, repair of water/oil leaks, etcYou will maintain all records and logs as required per site. Report and order any low stock inventories to the Tooling SupervisorYou will accomplish other duties as assignedYou will troubleshoot complex tooling issues directly impacting production up-time and part qualityYou will work with high-precision plastic injection molds, including multi-cavity and cosmetic automotive componentsYou will deal with tight-tolerance tooling, which requires strong attention to detail and craftsmanshipYou will work in a fast-paced production environment where your technical decisions matterWhat You Should HaveHigh school diploma / GED4+ years of experience troubleshooting injection molding tooling in a production environment4+ years of experience repairing and maintaining plastic injection molding toolingExperience working with tooling that produces cosmetic automotive partsPreferably have experience with CNC machining or programming using MastercamBasic mold design knowledgeJoin us!Thanks to its strategy focused on innovation, Valeo aims at reducing CO² emissions and developing intuitive driving to propose greener, safer, and smarter mobility.
