Job DescriptionWhat You Will DoDevelop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for Swiss-style lathes (e.g., Star, Mazak, Integrex)Understand and apply G-codes, feed rates, speeds, offsets, and tool geometrySelect appropriate tooling (drills, end mills, reamers, inserts) and optimize cutting strategiesInterpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches using advanced shop mathEstablish machining processes to maintain tolerances up to ±0.0001 inchTroubleshoot machining issues and improve cycle times and efficiencySupport setup teams with program validation and first-run successDiagnose machining defects such as poor surface finish, burrs, or tolerance deviationsCore Responsibilities / ImpactEnsure accurate, efficient, and repeatable CNC programsDrive process improvements and reduce scrap/reworkAct as a technical resource for machining strategy and troubleshootingQualifications – What You BringExperience programming Swiss-style CNC lathes (Star preferred, Mazak/Integrex a plus)Strong understanding of CNC programming fundamentals (G-code, feeds/speeds, offsets)Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&TExperience working with various materials and alloysKnowledge of machining mathematics and precision manufacturing principlesSkills & CompetenciesAdvanced problem-solving and analytical thinkingStrong mechanical and technical aptitudeHigh attention to detail and precisionAbility to work independently and optimize processesBasic proficiency in MS Excel and Word
