This individual will have an opportunity to support the Senior Billing Specialist in the development of domestic and international payroll process, strengthen internal controls and ensure audit readiness as the company expands globally.About The Billing Specialist RoleThe Billing Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing all payroll-related accounting functions to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with federal, state, local, and payroll regulations. This role combines payroll processing, accounting, reconciliations, tax compliance, and employee support. The Billing Specialist works closely with Human Resources, Finance, and external payroll providers to maintain accurate payroll records and support timely payroll-related reporting and reconciliations.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll for U.S. employees, including salary calculations, taxes, deductions, benefits, and net payEnsure accurate employee compensation and timely payroll processingSupport accurate payroll data entry, validation, and reconciliation across Rippling and ADP Workforce NowResearch and resolve payroll discrepancies involving taxes, deductions, benefits, and paid time off (PTO)Prepare payroll journal entries for each payroll cyclePrepare benefit-related journal entries as part of total employee compensationRecord monthly accruals for:Vacation/Paid Time Off (PTO)Cash bonusesProfit sharingOther compensation-related liabilitiesReconcile payroll-related balance sheet and expense accountsPrepare account reconciliations and financial reports related to payroll and benefitsManage wage and tax reconciliations for quarter-end and year-endSupport year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and validationPartner with HR and Benefits teams to resolve compensation and benefit-related issuesRequiredWhat You’ll BringBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field2+ years of payroll accounting or payroll administration experienceProficiency in Microsoft Excel for payroll tracking, reconciliations, and reportingExperience with ADP Workforce Now and/or Rippling preferredFamiliarity with payroll data entry, validation, and reconciliation processesPreferredExperience processing multi-state U.S. payrollStrong knowledge of payroll accounting, accruals, reconciliations, and tax complianceExperience with year-end reporting and payroll tax filingsWhat Sets You ApartStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionStrong written and verbal communication skillsWhy Join UsContribute to a growing finance function through accurate payroll operations and strong accounting supportGain exposure to global expansion and complex accounting challenges Clear career progression opportunities for high performers Support accurate, compliant, and scalable payroll operations as Keystone continues to growIn addition to annual salary, we provide an annual discretionary bonus, 401k contribution, and competitive benefits package.
