Wireless Network Engineer

This role focuses on the hands-on administration and optimization of Fortinet firewalls, ensuring smooth site operations while implementing SD-WAN technology to enhance inter-site connectivity. The position requires a proactive approach to maintaining network stability and resolving operational issues—particularly supporting Jacksonville, the primary technical hub. This role offers flexible work arrangements (especially for Jacksonville-based candidates) along with travel to support multi-site operations. Key Responsibilities:Firewall Administration: Configure, maintain, and optimize Fortinet firewalls while supporting existing Ubiquiti/UniFi environments where deployed.SD-WAN Deployment: Implement and tune SD-WAN technology to improve inter-site connectivity, traffic performance, and link reliability across locations.Operational Stability: Partner with cross-functional teams to proactively address and resolve network issues, with a strong focus on supporting key Jacksonville operations.Network Architecture: Provide technical expertise on firewall policies, site-to-site connectivity, and general network troubleshooting.Site Support & Travel: Travel 25–30% to regional sites (including Fremont, CA and Vancouver, BC) for hands-on implementations, connectivity rollouts, and escalated issue resolution.
