DAY TRAINING COORDINATOR

Job Description : Day Training CoordinatorThe Day Training Coordinator for an Adult Intellectual Disabilities Day Program is responsible for the direct supervision, daily operation, and strategic development of day programs serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The position ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, supports individualized service plans, and fosters a safe, inclusive, and effective program environment. Experience as a special education teacher a plus.Specific Duties:• Supervise staff – schedules, task responsibilities, quality of work, etc.Develop and maintain enriching classes for participants.• Develop and implement a DT schedule to ensure each participant has the opportunity to work on each of their DT goals• Coordinate plans with caregivers of DT clients• Attend Plan of Care Meetings, Team Meetings, and SIS assessments• Maintain regular, positive communication with Guardians, Caregivers, Clinicians, and Case Managers• Review and process all monthly paperwork including daily notes, monthly summaries, tracking logs, financials, behavior data, etc.• Acquire and process all DT scripts and review MARs• Provide coverage during staff breaks, lunches, and as needed• Other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:1. Meets the personnel and training requirements.2. Has the ability to communicate effectively with a participant and the participant's support team; including reading, writing, and implementing written and oral instructions, and performing required documentation.3. Personal, reliable vehicle and valid driver's license4. Valid car insurance5. Ability to physically perform activities and duties as assigned.6. Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED OR be at least 21 years of age.7. 2 or more years of experience in day training environment.
