This role will serve as a subject matter expert, providing architectural guidance and technical strategy recommendations across Salesforce products, including Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Nonprofit Cloud, and Marketing Cloud. The architect will assess the current Salesforce landscape, identify gaps and opportunities, and design scalable solutions aligned with health plan operations and business goals. Work You'll DoDesign Salesforce solutions leveraging Health Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud within a healthcare payer contextProvide guidance on Salesforce data models, security, and best practicesEvaluate and recommend integration approaches between Salesforce and enterprise systems such as claims platforms and EHRsCollaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and leadership to translate strategy into actionable recommendationsPresent findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and executive audiencesLead end-to-end Salesforce solution and technical architecture across assessments, implementations, and optimization engagementsPartner with client stakeholders and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation approachesLead technical discovery and current-state architecture assessments, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunitiesDesign scalable Salesforce solutions that are aligned with business requirements and Salesforce best practicesDefine system integrations, data models, security models, and deployment strategies across Salesforce and external systemsProvide technical leadership to development teams, including code reviews, design guidance, and ensuring adherence to Salesforce architectural best practicesSupport business development activities including solutioning, level of effort estimates, and proposal developmentContribute to thegrowth of the AArete's Salesforce practiceOther duties as assignedRequirements5+ years of hands on Salesforce platform experience, including architecture or lead developer roles, with deep expertise in Health Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing CloudDeep expertise in:Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, APIs (REST/SOAP), Omni StudioData modeling, sharing rules, and security architecture and best practicesIntegration patterns (middleware, ETL, event-based, Mulesoft preferred)DevOps / CI-CD tools (DevOps Center, Git, Copado, Gearset, etc.)Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions in healthcare or payer environmentsStrong understanding of SDLC, agile delivery, and technical governanceDemonstrated ability to conduct technical assessments, gap analyses, and develop strategic roadmapsExperience supporting large scale Salesforce implementations or enterprise assessmentsExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non technical stakeholders, including executive leadershipWillingness to engage in direct client interaction, including travel to client locationMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorshipPreferred RequirementsSalesforce Architect Certification (Technical Architect, System Architect, or Application Architect)Salesforce Certified Health Cloud ConsultantSalesforce Certified Integration ArchitectExperience integrating Salesforce with claims systems, EHRs, or other healthcare enterprise platformsPrior experience supporting Salesforce strategic assessments or transformation initiativesBased in Chicago, IL, and flexible to work from our Chicago office as neededCompensation & BenefitsFlexible PTO, monthly half-day refuels, volunteer time off, 10 paid holidaysOwn Your Day flexible work policyCompetitive majority employer-paid benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K MatchGenerous paid parental leave optionsEmployer-paid Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Long Term DisabilityCharitable contribution matching programNew client commission opportunities and referral bonus programBike share discount programThe estimated base salary range for this position is $145,000 - $175,000. In addition to this base salary, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. This range is a part of a competitive, total compensation package together with our majority employer-paid benefits and incentive pay for eligible roles.
