S.T.E.M. Instructor

Our company is seeking an Independent Contractor (Instructor) to administer a course entitled Engineering is Elementary. Training will consist of shadowing a current Arithmetic Solutions S.T.E.M. Instructor as he or she is implementing the program at one of the current school sites we service. The ideal candidate is flexible and can work with us to help students develop an understanding of FUNDAMENTAL Engineering Processes and basic Engineering principles. The candidate must have a rudimentary working knowledge of Engineering Principles and Physics. Applicant will be required to commute to the school site in order to provide the S.T.E.M. instruction. The prospective candidate will be required to develop an understanding of how Arithmetic Solutions' engineering projects are constructed and what Engineering Principles and concepts are to be taught with respect to each project. Math knowledge up to the level of high school Geometry is required. This position requires the ability to effectively communicate with large groups of elementary school students, and will provide the successful candidate with a sense of fulfillment when their work makes a difference in the lives of young children. Be advised that a thorough F.B.I. & D.O.J. criminal background check is mandatory before the applicant can begin providing S.T.E.M. instruction. Responsibilities: Identify the most effective teaching methods. Adapt material to best suit the needs of the students. Help students assemble Engineering projects. Explain the different engineering concepts that apply to assigned projects. Provide students with feedback and support.
