Linux System Administrator

We are seeking a Senior Linux System Administrator (RHEL) to support one of the largest government agencies in Downey, CA. This is a long-term onsite contract (12–24+ months) focused on enterprise Linux infrastructure, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, automation, and security-driven operations.Type: Contract (12–24+ months)Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PMLocation: Onsite – Downey, CA/City of IndustryKey ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, SUSE, and Debian systemsManage Linux servers across on‑prem and cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and automation scriptsSupport Kubernetes and OpenShift clustersPerform patch planning, vulnerability assessments, and remediationMonitor system performance, availability, and capacityCoordinate production changes and maintenance windowsWork closely with Cyber Security, DevOps, Networking, and Application teamsMaintain detailed technical documentation and process guidesRequired Qualifications7+ years Linux system administration experienceStrong expertise with RHEL (required)4+ years of Ansible, Shell, or Python scriptingExperience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShiftCloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)VMware (vCenter, ESXi) experienceExposure to security tools such as Nessus, Tenable, Tanium, McAfee, Cisco AMPBachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)ApplyInterested candidates are encouraged to apply or message directly to discuss details.
