Corporate Training Specialist
ABOUT THE ROLEThe Corporate Training Specialist assists in the design and development of effective learning solutions that support organizational priorities and employee development. This role partners with stakeholders to create engaging, high-quality content and contributes to the continuous improvement of learning programs and materials. In this role, the individual will help facilitate and develop impactful training content (virtual and in-person), training sessions to support company processes, change management, leadership development, and the business and technical skills of our employees. We are consistently recognized as one of the top five specialty electrical construction firms by Engineering News Record.Essential FunctionsAssist in the design and development of learning content, courses, and instructional materials across modalities, including web-based training (WBT), instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), hybrid, and in-person deliveryAssist in the development of training content, tools, and courses aligned to the objectives of organizational goals. Assist in defining course structure, content, and delivery method to produce high-quality trainingWork with subject matter experts (SMEs) to define course outcomes and objectives. Designs and develops engaging, interactive, and instructionally sound materials that address various learning styles and are accessible to all learners. Serves as a project managerRegularly solicit feedback from peers, staff, and managers, and apply it to enhance their own performance and the training offeredEvaluate learning content using learner feedback, utilization data, and business performance indicators; apply insights to continuously improve effectivenessCollaborate with leaders to conduct training needs assessments to understand and provide recommendations for training content or programs. May evaluate LMS best practices, workflow assessments, or other information identified through training gap analysisFacilitate a variety of programs, including but not limited to job-specific processes, technology, business/soft skills, and company-specific virtual LMS-created content, virtual instructor-led, and in-person instructor-led trainingCreate training-related content and resources (SharePoint, Articulate, Microsoft 365, Adobe, video, podcast, or other digital/visual/audio medium) to support the Organizational Learning and Development initiatives and overall HR DepartmentAct as a Learning Management System (LMS) administrator, managing users, creating courses and curriculum, assigning courses and curriculum, performing data analytics, and providing user support as neededMaintain a high level of quality by helping to establish enterprise-level consistency and organizational training standards when working with training teams throughout the organizationParticipate in training and self-development to continuously enhance instructional delivery and presentation skillsOther duties as assignedRegular and predictable attendanceEssential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicableABOUT YOUQualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in a training-related or similar role requiredMinimum 3 years of experience creating and delivering training content, guides, and multimedia training materials through various methodsMinimum of 3 years of Learning Management System (LMS) Administration experience including, managing users, managing content, system configuration, and data analytics preferredExperience developing and delivering learning content across one or more modalities (WBT, ILT, VILT, hybrid)Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or related field; 4-5 years of experience in an instructional design role considered in lieu of degreeKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesExpertise in instructional design, adult learning theory, and content development across multiple modalitiesStrong ability to influence without authority and partner effectively with stakeholders at all levelsAbility to translate complex, technical, or process-driven content into clear and engaging learning experiencesStrong project management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environmentData-driven mindset with the ability to interpret metrics and apply insights to improve learning effectivenessProven ability to learn complex concepts quickly and communicate those concepts in an easy-to-understand manner, as well as champion changeExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to independently manage projectsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsExcellent presentation and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate with management and all levels of employees within the organizationHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistencyProficiency in Microsoft 365Proficiency in Adobe tools, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier, etc.Ability to travel up to 10% of the timeWHAT WE OFFERCompensation & Benefits* Salary $68,000 - 90,000/year* Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
