Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, shift, benefit selection or other job-related reasons.Job DetailsDescriptionDietician Technician Shift: Full-Time Rate: $20 - $22/hour (depending on experience)The McGuire Group's Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Williamsville, NY, is seeking a Dietician Technician. The Dietician Technician obtains all information necessary for nutritional care planning. Interviews all new admissions for a dietary history and records all information. Writes monthly progress notes on appropriate residents' and ensures that care plans are implemented. Evaluates effectiveness of dietary interventions. Monitors meal intakes on all residents and calculates food intakes when necessary. Verifies physician diet orders or changes and documents in the medical record.Responsibilities:Maintains records under the direct guidance and direction of the Dietician to include: patient/resident progress notes (90 day and as indicated,) transfer/discharge summaries, monitoring of lab work, weights, skin integrity, intake studies, and meal plan updates.Continually counsels and educates the patients/residents, family members, facility personnel or proper therapeutic and basic nutrition in conjunction with the Registered Dietician.Evaluates diet histories and reviews nourishment and supplement recordsDevelops, reviews, and updates comprehensive care plans on a continual basis to reflect the current needs of the patient/resident.Maintains weight recordsSupervises/observes dining room meal service in a timely and appropriate manner to provide high quality dietary service to patients/residents. Monitors breakfast, dinner, and supper meal consumption and consistency appropriateness.Monitors tube feeding documentation records with DieticianMakes appropriate referrals to OT, Speech Therapist, Dentist, and Nursing.All other duties assigned by the DieticianQualifications:College graduate from a two or four year approved course in Dietetics, DTR preferable, with some knowledge of long-term care.Requirements:Minimum 18 years of ageNo findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment and misappropriation of propertyStrong written and verbal communication skillsExpertise and experience required for the taskDemonstrated ability in management, leadership and interpersonal skillsQualificationsEducationPreferred: Associates or better in Dietetic Technology.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
