Medical Records SpecialistCedar Creek Hospital of Michigan is a beautiful and state of the art 72-bed facility. Cedar Creek provides evidence-based treatment to adolescents and adults struggling with mental health issues. Cedar Creek Hospital invests in our patients by offering an integrated medicine approach that provides the latest therapies including yoga, mindfulness, aromatherapy, music therapy and nutrition. As part of our success and innovation in the field we are seeking qualified applicants for a Medical Records Specialist position.The Medical Records Specialist assembles, analyzes and logs all medical records, assists with incomplete records, and assists the Health Information Manager in maintaining the daily operations of the Medical Records Department. Some key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Promptly and accurately assembles the records of discharged patients and performs quantitative and qualitative analysis on discharged records. Assists with the release of information function. Identifies and promptly files all completed medical records. Assists with pulling medical records, and providing requested information, within the scope of release, for medical and clinical staff. Registered Health Information Technician preferred. 1-3 years working in a related field preferred. Medical coding experience is a strong plus.
