Job Description - EV TechnicianLocation: Washington (Travel Required - Driving) - RemoteJob SummaryThe EV Charging Technician is responsible for the commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and branding of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) across multiple West Coast locations. This role ensures optimal performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction for EV charging infrastructure in the field.ResonsibilitiesCommission new EV charging stations, including installation validation, system configuration, and network connectivity setupPerform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on EVCS hardware and software systemsConduct preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure system uptime and performanceInstall and maintain station branding elements, including signage, wraps, and decalsRespond to service calls and resolve issues in a timely and professional mannerDocument all service activities, maintenance logs, and repair actions accuratelyCoordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to resolve technical issuesEnsure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company proceduresTravel regularly throughout Washington to support field operationsRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in electrical, electronics, or related field preferred2+ years of experience in electrical systems, field service, or EV charging infrastructureStrong understanding of electrical systems, low/high voltage, and troubleshooting techniquesFamiliarity with networking, software diagnostics, and IoT-connected devices is a plusAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagramsValid driver’s license and clean driving recordSkills & Compentencies Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently in a field-based roleExcellent communication and customer service skillsDetail-oriented with strong documentation habitsComfortable using mobile tools, laptops, and diagnostic softwarePhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50-60 lbs.Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in outdoor environmentsComfortable working in varying weather conditionsWork EnviornmentField-based role with frequent travel across WACombination of indoor and outdoor work environmentsOn-call or after-hours work may be required as neededCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary of $75K - $110K per year based on experience and skillsUse of company vehicleEligibility for a performance-based annual bonusEquity participation, providing an opportunity to share in the Company’s long-term successComprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) plan with a 3% Company matchAccess to professional development and training opportunities through our PEO partner TriNetSick time and PTO time off and paid company holidaysAbout EVCS EVCS was founded in 2018 and has quickly become one of the largest and fastest-growing public EV charging networks on the US West Coast.
