This club combines hands-on learning with community involvement, helping children develop empathy, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility. Each session focuses on age-appropriate service initiatives that make a positive impact while integrating fun educational experiences.PART II: MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESA. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:B. CREDENTIALS:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or collegeValid Illinois Driver's License;Successful completion of a Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance;Successful completion of Bloodborne Pathogens Training/Hepatitis B Shots Series Training;May be required to obtain First Aid/CPR Certification.C. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of the District's Goals of an Activities Program.Knowledge of sponsor techniques and human behavior;Knowledge of the State, Federal and School Board Policies and Regulations regarding student conduct and appropriate disciplinary action;Knowledge of care and treatment of injuries;Skill at coaching/teaching;Physical ability to perform essential functions;Availability to work during assigned hours;Coaching/teaching ability;Leadership ability;Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.PART III: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe following identifies the primary and essential functions of the position and is not intended to be an exhaustive listing of all duties. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Meet with clubs a minimum of one time per week for the duration of the school year (or as contract language requires);Maintains an active program that promotes good sportsmanship and student development;Plans necessary time, resources, and materials to support accomplishment of club goals;Keeps attendance records for all club meetings;Takes part in promotional activities as required;Takes part in IHSA competitions as required;Assists operations by ensuring preparation of facilities;Assists in overseeing process of cleaning, repairing, and storing all equipment;Assists in coordinating the use of all facilities by non-school groups;Implements District student management policies, communicates expected student behavior related to activities, and ensures enforcement of student discipline in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook;Establishes and maintains open lines of communication by conducting conferences on vital issues with parents, students, and teachers;Implements the policies established by federal law, state law, Illinois State Board of Education rules, and local board policy in area of athletics;Compiles, maintains, files, and presents all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required;Maintains a current inventory of supplies and equipment and recommends disposal and replacement of equipment when necessary;Articulates the District's mission and goals in the area of activities to community and solicit its support in realizing mission;Demonstrates awareness of District and community needs and initiate activities to meet those needs;Uses appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parent involvement;Supports any booster organization related to clubs and activities;Performs related duties as assigned.PART IV: STAFF SUPERVISION* Not applicableTHE ABOVE STATEMENTS ARE INTENDED TO DESCRIBE THE GENERAL NATURE AND LEVEL OF WORK BEING PERFORMED BY THE EMPLOYEE ASSIGNED TO THIS POSITION.
