Cabinetmaker
PURPOSE OF POSITIONAssemble millwork components, prepare sub-assemblies, and assemble finished product to package and prepare for complete product shipment. Work consists of routine tasks, processes, and performing operations prescribed by drawings, work orders and procedures, as well as custom, one-off, highly complex joinery.Duties & ResponsibilitiesRequired to work with other associates in assembly of millwork and caseworkHelp with the addition of base, trim, crown moldings, and other items to various architectural component unitsAssemble high-end millwork and joinery using pre-machined components following Millwork construction drawingsUse of assembly machinery; case and frame clamp, table saw, chop saw, router, drill and band saw.Hinge boring and insertionHardware installation and reassembly of finished productsMaintain awareness of shipping schedules and adjust work capacity needs as requiredKeeps work area clean and safeRequirements & QualificationsPossess working knowledge of woodworking and general assembly techniquesSkilled use of sanders, glue machines, banders, and hand toolsCorrectly perform all aspects of routine work, meeting quality standards and requirementsMust be able to achieve results in an accurate and timely mannerCommunicate effectively with co-workers, managers and othersBe able to share knowledge and ideas with others on the teamPerform activities that directly support team outcomesMust be able to lift repetitively materials and/or parts weighing approximately 5-10 poundsIn order to get current job completed on-time may require overtime beyond traditional 50-55 hour work week
