As we continue to grow, we are expanding our Elder Law and Estate Planning Department.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Elder Law and Estate Planning Paralegal or Legal Assistant with 4 to 7 years of experience to support our attorneys. This role is ideal for someone with strong estate planning documentation experience, client counseling skills, and comfort working with detailed, number-heavy matters, including tax and Medicaid-related planning.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review estate planning documents and supporting materialsAssist with tax planning and preparation related to Medicaid mattersCommunicate with clients regarding case status, documentation, and next stepsMaintain and organize client files and legal recordsDraft and review legal documents under attorney supervisionPrepare spreadsheets and financial documentationProvide administrative and legal support to attorneys as neededQualifications 4 to 7 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in estate planning or elder lawStrong experience with estate planning documentation preparation and client counselingFamiliarity with tax planning and Medicaid-related mattersExperience with NYSCEF e-filingHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients and attorneysProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented.
