Shift Operations ManagementOpen and/or close the restaurant according to company proceduresLead daily shift execution and maintain smooth operationsMonitor dining room, kitchen, and service flow throughout shiftHandle unexpected operational issues quickly and professionallyCommunicate shift priorities and updates to team membersComplete shift forms and supervisor logs2. Guest Service & HospitalityDeliver and enforce exceptional guest service standardsGreet and assist guests when necessaryResolve guest complaints professionally and efficientlyHandle refunds, discounts, and service recovery when authorizedSupport staff during high-volume periods3. Team LeadershipSupervise front-of-house and/or back-of-house employees during shiftDelegate tasks and ensure completionCoach employees on performance, service standards, and proceduresHold employees accountable for attendance, breaks, uniforms, and conductAssist with training new hiresMotivate team members and maintain positive morale4. Food Safety & SanitationEnsure compliance with health department regulationsEnforce food safety procedures and proper handling practicesMonitor food quality, freshness, and presentationVerify proper holding temperatures and sanitation standardsEnsure cleaning checklists are completedAddress safety hazards immediatelyMaintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready environment5. Cash Handling & POS ResponsibilitiesOperate and troubleshoot POS systemsCount cash drawers and verify depositsEnsure accurate cash handling procedures are followedApprove voids, comps, refunds, and discounts as authoriz6. Labor & Productivity ControlImprove operational efficiency and ticket timesReduce waste and unnecessary product usageEnsure employees remain productive during slow periods7. Inventory & SuppliesCommunicate shortages or ordering needs to managementEnsure proper storage and rotation of products (FIFO)Minimize food waste and operational lossTrack and report damaged or missing inventory8.
